There are a wide variety of materials used for pool patios or decks. Concrete or pavers are a common type of pool patio surface. Finding the best sealer for pool patio concrete or pavers will ensure the area lasts a long time. Choose a sealer that is non-gloss to reduce the chance of creating a slippery surface. Being around a pool will obviously mean that wet feet will be walking and running across the surface. Making it too slippery with multiple applications of a glossy sealer is the last thing you want to do.
However, if you want to give the pool patio a wet look without the gloss, there are sealers that fall into that category. Sealers like SuperSeal M, Supreme Shield SB-600, or Surebond SB-6000 are great choices. These sealers penetrate the surface to create a barrier of protection without the glossy finish. Some Satin and Semi-Gloss sealers will work as well as long as they do not seal the surface 100%. These would be styrene acrylic-based sealers such as SuperSeal25.

Is the SB-600 low VOC still a solvent base?

I have a kidney shaped Gunite pool with a pebble concrete deck that cantilevers over the side of the Gunite pool. It was put in about 6-7 yrs ago. It has never been sealed. What would you recommend I put on it after doing a light power wash to the deck?

We are wanting to do Firerock pavers for our pool decking. Do you have any experience with these? Are they slippery and if so, is there a seal you can use on them to make them less slippery? Just want to protect them and make less slippery, not change appearance if possible. Thank you!
We have never used Firerock or seen them. A sealer cannot make a surface less slippery.

I recently had the pavers sealed with a water based polyurethane. Unfortunately the company that did the work got a fair amount of sealant in the pool. I have removed most of it but not all of it. How could I determine if it safe to swim in the pool, which is filtered?

Hi. I am trying to seal my pool pavers on y own for the first time. I’ve done so much homework my head is goinf to explode. Looking to seal the concrete around my in ground pool. I have a salt water pool with a chlorine generator. Its not salt water like the ocean. I used Eagle Paver Acrylic Sealer back in May for my dark grey brick pool coping but the pool water leaves mineral stains on them (which I thought was the purpose of sealing them ). Can I use something else over the current sealer to shine them up and actually REPEL the water ?

Sealers will not work in areas where there is constant water flow like a waterfall or fountain nor would it stop erosion.

I am getting a pool put in with a Tremron paver deck with polymeric sand. I am interested in getting a non-slip sealer that will cover the entire deck including the coping. Should I just apply Super Seal M? It would be nice to give it wet look too but I do not want risk it getting slippery.

I have stamped concrete around my pool that has been sealed at least three times. The sealer seems to fade and turn white after about 8 to 9 months. I am in Arizona not sure if the constant sun has anything to do with that. Any recommendations on what sealer to use considering there may be several layers of old sealer on the concrete?
The only way to fix this is to remove all of the old sealers. Adding more on top of the current sealers will not fix the white haze from returning.
