Seal n Lock Super Wet is a high solid, two-part water-based pure urethane sealer that penetrates the pavers to provide a longer-lasting protective barrier with superior joint stabilization (no need for polymeric sand) resulting in a ‘wet look.’ Super Wet is user-friendly and environmentally safe. The high solids content of pure urethane wears evenly and lasts longer than solvent-based sealers. Super Wet is available in 2 and 5-gallon kits.

Wet Look: 6
– Considering this is the Seal n Lock wet look version, the sealer did a very average job at enhancing or improving the paver stones with a wet look.
Gloss Level: 6
– Same as the wet look, The Seal N Lock did have an average shine after drying. This product goes on milky white but dries to a clear satin shine.
Joint Sand Hardening: 9
– The Seal n Lock did an excellent job with hardening the sand down to the base of the pavers. After 2 years, the sand erosion was minimal.
Fading/Wearing After 2 Years: 2
– After two years the Seal N Lock Wet Look has faded significantly. Very little if any of the shine or wet look was visible. There was a large amount of mold and mildew growing in the sand as well.
White Haze/Yellowing: 10
– Seal n Lock did not yellow or turn white.
Overall Score Seal n Lock Paver Sealer at 2 Year Period: 6.6
– Seal n Lock did not score very well for us. We definitely did not like the one-day application process. We had all kinds of trouble with the “wet sand” application even though we watched their video and talked to the customer service. We could not get the sand even and had air pockets. After many hours we did get the sand even and level but in our opinion, we would prefer to let the pavers dry and sweep in the sand. We also noticed the sealer seemed to feed mold growth in the sand. After checking with some contractors, we have found that this has been a known issue with Seal n Lock.
It does not discolor, decent at sand hardening, everything else was average or poor.

We do not. There are issues when sealing limestone. It discolors.
We are looking for a company to power wash and seal our driveway snd enclosed porches in Florida. We have pavers. One company wants to use Ure Seal H2O and the other Seal n Lock wet look. Which product is better?
We are not fans of either but if we had to choose, we would use the Ure Seal H2O.
I APPLIED TO MUCH SEALER ON PART OF MY PATIO AND HAVE WHITE SEALER IN THE JOINTS AND THE LOW SPOTS OF THE PAVERS. IS THERE A PRODUCT THAT WILL CUT AND STRIP THE SEAL N LOCK SEALER

Any feedback on Cobble Lock semi-gloss sealer
Never heard of it or used it.
I’ve been using Seal ‘n Lock for the past 8 years. It is the best sealer I’ve ever used. Why it only it got three stars makes no sense to me. If I could give it ten stars I would. Greatest stuff in the market.

Hello, I live in upstate N.Y. and had a certified experienced contractor, who said he’s used different products but now uses Seal and Lock, prep and seal my year old Belguard pavers last fall. I was hoping to seal and lessen the silver(ish) hue from my new pavers. I love the look when the pavers are wet so I asked for the color to be enhanced. He used the “Super-Wet-Look” water based two component urethane sealer which did bring out some of the color. Had Seal’nLock used on pavers around pool. It looked great for a few days. The sand started coming out after the first rain. It is completely gone in places. Even worse, it has left white discoloration on the pavers. I have sent request to the company to have someone come inspect the situation but have received no response.
Same thing happened to my pavers around the pool. I believe it has something to do with the salt in the water since it only turned white in areas were the pool water got on them. I let it go until the next time I sealed the pavers 3 years later and this time I used the Defy product. I have not had the same problems.
What if it rains 2 hours after application?

as long as the sealer has cured you should be ok. I had this happen on my driveway about an hour after I put on my final coat, the water still beaded .
I have question. Is the seal n lock super wet sealer breathable?
Yes it should be.
This review above is based on their original formula. They reformulated in Dec 2015 with a 'higher solids' content. However the higher solids Seal N Lock now purchase is from overseas is poor in quality. The sealer lasts no longer than 9 months in any application.
Dozzens of contractors have stopped using this prodict because of premature product failures.
When contractors contact Deal n Lock owner, Richard Colletti, he tells them they 'must have mixed it wrong'.
There is a contractor driven class action lawsuit pending against Seal N Lock System Corp because of these premature product failures.

We have used this product for over 9 years exclusively in our sealing business. We have never had the issues stated here. Just like anything else – the applicator must know what they are doing. There is more to sealing than just spraying or rolling a sealer onto a surface. Like one of the comments from a "contractor" that it takes 8 hours to wet sand 1000 sq ft. We hired a "certified contractor" of the seal n lock system to seal the pavers on our pool deck. They pressure washed, sanded, swept and then sealed the pavers as the sun was setting and assured me that sealing that late in the day without the sun to help dry the product was one of the great things about seal n lock. The next morning the product had pooled in the paver joints and cured a bright, almost florescent white color … it was absolutely terrible. if to much sealer is applied, the contractor is at fault not the product. The contractor should have used a blower to move the excess sealer around so it wouldn't pool. Sounds like an application error. I have used this product daily for years. Any sealer applied like this would produce the same results.
You probably chose the lowest the price. That contractor did what he probably does on every job. Homework has to be done when choosing a contractor. If your new roof leaks, is the shingles' fault or the nails' fault – most likely now. We see this every day – 99 times out of 100 the contractor was chosen as the low bid. There is plenty of ways now a days to be able to do research on a contractor.

I had the low gloss product with 2 coats with surfaces well prepared for the resealing/sanding application to my driveway, walkway, lanai, pool deck brick red pavers.I had it done by a very experienced and reputable company so cannot comment on application difficulty. It dried fine and did not discolor or damage pavers. Seem average or below average in terms of durability and sand retention. How was the sealer applied? with a low cost air pump back pack sprayer? or a motorized sealer sprayer designed to spray sealer? maybe it wasn't applied with a Flood coat first and then 2 more coats after.
After 3 coats of seal n lock, I put on an additiona 2 coats of the wet seal n lock. I did not get the wet look that I expected.
The first 3 coats were put on by a company call Dura Lock, which I would not recommend.
I just received an estimate for washing and sealing my brick pavers. The company states that they apply 3 coats of Seal n Lock instead of the typical 1 heavy coat and a second light coat. They claim this provides better results in the wet look as well as the gloss. they also claim this 3 heavy coat application extend the life of the sealer to about 3 years. What do you think?
Doubt it. More is not always better and does not mean it will last longer. It may give a richer wet look though.
During rain plan on the surface being extremely slippery and dangerous. If used on a driveway, your cars could skid and slide.
SEAL N LOCK GOES DOWN FAIRLY EASILY BUT OVERALL IT IS TOTAL GARBAGE. THE WET SANDING WORKS IF YOU HAVE 8 HOURS TO DO 1000 SQ.FT. IT LASTS ABOUT A YEAR OR SO ON AVERAGE AND IS WAY WAY OVERPRICED. COMPARABLE PRODUCTS ARE 30% LESS AND DO AT LEAST THE SAME AND MOST ARE BETTER.
Bob, You don't have a clue about sealing or sealers! I have over 30 + years in the Interlocking Paver Industry and have used every type of sealer under the sun. Seal-N-Lock is not over priced it is very fair taking into account you add water when mixing so you actually get 10 gallons out of a 5 gallon bucket. Why don't you go to Home Depot and buy some garbage they sell and compare. You have to mix it and apply it right like anything to get it to work correctly. You got it right Bob. Seal N Lock discolored my pavers and they looked dingy after the application. The end of my driveway slopes down to the road. If it rained during the first year, my car skid when I hit the brake before the road… making it down-right dangerous. Seal N Lock is garbage. The wet sanding lasted about a year.
As a contractor – I used real n Lock for years. However there are my h better products out there and we had to stop using the sealer because it would fail after only 6-9 months.
We now use Ure-Seal h2o and it works wonders.
On my other patio which was much smaller I had an overlay of 2" pavers (over Chattahoochee) . These had been sealed in the past with solvent and I had a lot of mold growth in the joints because the pavers did not have great drainage .( I do not recommend using overlays if you can avoid it) I aslo do not recommend Super wet for overlays if you already have mold issues . Decided I would try the DEFY water based product. Received a sample and ran it on several pavers and it looks good .
Looking at the Scores here it will not fade as quickly as the Seal_n_lock and I don't need to mix it so thats a + Only time will tell now, I plan on doing several homes with the Defy and compare it to the Seal_n_lock
My back patios I have had some mixed results On one Patio I have 2,500 sf of artistic paves . Artistic pavers are extremely dense have practically no absorption. It does not take much to coat them and it can result in a slippery condition. Because of the low absorption a blower is required to stop pooling .. Long term I have had my artistic pavers turn white after the first year in areas where people enter and leave the pool areas . I used Seal N lock 3 years ago to seal the driveways and patios of my 2 homes
My main driveways for both homes amounted to over 6000sf. The deep enhancement and shine lasts less then a year but the Joint sealing is supurb which is the main reason for me sealing them. 95% of my joint sand stayed intact . I am now starting to see weed and insect intrusion in random areas. I have also noticed that most of the joints have now turned (or begun to turn) black with mold.
Seal N Lock turned my gray pavers to charcoal black and brown. It absolutely destroyed a $70,000 project. Does anyone know how to get this stuff off? Never again…

Mary, we as in anyone have a right to write reviews of products we have used as consumers, just look at Amazon. We tried your product and had some issues that are valid. We would have allowed your contractors reviews if they would have came over time but it was obvious you asked them to write reviews and that is wrong in our opinion. As for your other assumptions, you are wrong.
This is just seal n locks scare tactic. They do it to contractors that stop using their product as well. IWork for a ckmpanynow thatused to use real n Lock (over 2 million square feet Rach year) and had to stop because it's poor durability. My company "Brick Paving Systems,Inc." has been installing pavers in the Tampa Bay area for 35 years and we have used many products to seal them over the years.We have used solvent based as well as water based sealers and I would rate Seal and Lock Wet Look as one of the best. Mary, asking your customers to post endorsements is trying to manipulate this page. I said it had to be \”real\” comments. I do not consider these to be \”real\” as you are influencing them to post. We had no comments on this review for months then all of a sudden we get numerous within a few days. Very fishy…
