SuperSeal30 is a Higher-Gloss Concrete Sealer that can be used on many different types of concrete surfaces. It is popular for Brick Paver Patios, Exposed Aggregate, and Stamped Concrete. This sealer darkens the appearance and leaves a shine.
The SuperSeal30 is a solvent-based, breathable acrylic sealer.
SuperSeal30 Paver and Concrete Sealer Scores (1-10)
Wet Look: 10
SuperSeal30 contains 30% solid acrylic. It darkened our 4-year-old paver patio as if wet and stayed that way after drying. It enhanced the natural red and brown tones in our paver bricks.
Gloss Level: 8
The high solid content of the SuperSeal gave our paver patio a high-gloss shine. The overall appearance on our test patio was quite rich-looking but not so shiny that it looked “fake.” The sealer was slightly slippery for the first couple of weeks when it rained, but after complete curing, that was not an issue.

Super Seal 25 Concrete Sealer Review
SuperSeal25 is a Semi-Gloss Concrete Sealer for Brick Paver Patios, Exposed Aggregate, and Stamped Concrete. It darkens the appearance and leaves a shine similar to a semi-gloss.
The SuperSeal25 is a 25% solid solvent-based, breathable acrylic sealer and curing compound suitable for use on interior and exterior concrete surfaces.
Wet Look: 10
SuperSeal25 darkened the paver driveway very well, giving the surface a much-needed enhanced look. All the pavers’ colors stood out, restoring the original look.
Gloss Level: 8
SuperSeal25 contains 25% solids, which leaves our driveway with a semi-gloss shine. The sealer dried in a few hours, and we were able to drive on the surface the next day.

MasonrySaver (Defy) Epoxy-Fortified Paver Sealer is a durable, water-based, clear, wet-look concrete sealant designed to protect and beautify clay brick and cement patio-type paver stones. It gives them a rich satin finish as a paver sand sealer.
Paver Sealer protects from water and the sun’s ultraviolet light. It can be used on most horizontal, above-grade concrete applications, including clay brick, clay paver, and natural stone.
They are applied to a brick paver patio surrounding a pool.
Wet Look: 7.5
The MasonrySaver Paver Sealer darkened the surface but not nearly as much as a solvent-based sealer. It looked richer but lacked that deep, rich look.
Gloss Level: 6.5
It took two coats of the sealer to see some gloss. The gloss level was more of a matte shine, not a semi-gloss. Being that this install was around a pool, that could be a benefit for potential slipping.

For 2024, we have found that the Supreme Shield SB-600 and SB-350 (low VOC States) are the most popular sealers for a wet look without gloss or shine. SUPREME SHIELD SB is a solvent-based penetrating sealer designed for stamped concrete, concrete pavers, and other porous concrete surfaces. Its application enhances the color and gives a wet look without adding the gloss and plastic associated with other traditional film-forming sealers. Once treated, the surface repels water and oil to prevent staining.
Wet Look: 10
– The Supreme Shield SB-600 will add a rich wet look, similar to any solvent-based paver or stamped concrete sealer.
Gloss Level: N/A
– This product is not designed to add shine to the surface.

MasonrySaver Stamped Concrete Sealer is a non-yellowing acrylic polymer blend sealer formulated for properly cured stamped concrete surfaces—MasonrySaver Stamped Concrete Sealer dustproofs concrete with a durable acrylic blend resin. MasonrySaver® Stamped Concrete Sealer leaves an attractive, non-yellowing, durable gloss finish that protects concrete from damage and color loss due to ultra-violet light, moisture, and abrasion/wear.
This sealer can be applied on top of previously applied solvent or water-based sealers without creating an adhesion issue.

My MasonrySaver Stamped Concrete Sealer Ratings (1-10)
Wet Look: 7
The MasonrySaver Stamped Concrete Sealer darkened the surface like other water-based sealers. Overall, it enhanced the surface acceptable but not as well as a solvent-based sealer.
Gloss Level: 8
I applied two coats of the sealer at 150 square feet per gallon. The gloss level was a semi-gloss shine after drying.

The SuperSeal Matte review is similar to their higher-content sealers but with an additive that reduces the shine. SuperSeal Matte will darken the appearance and add a wet look without the high gloss finish. The SuperSeal Matte is a wet-look solvent-based sealer best used on decorative and stamped concrete, exposed aggregate, and brick pavers. The Restore-A-Garage Epoxy is a two-component coating system that is easy to apply, and the directions are easy to follow. Once you mix Part A and Part B, you spread the coating over the surface with a notched squeegee and even out with a roller. I could cover our 3-car test garage in less than 30 minutes. Using Spiked shoes, I then broadcasted the Flecks over the surface. I top-coated it later with their optional Gloss Aliphatic Urethane coating. This rolls on very quickly.
Gloss Level after Application: 9
The high 100% solid content of the Restore-A-Garage Epoxy Coating gives the floor a nice gloss. We top-coated this with the optional Gloss Top Coat, which adds additional shine and protection to the surface. FYI, they carry an optional Satin sheen if you prefer a lower luster.

There are many types of sealers for concrete and masonry surfaces. Concrete sealers come in both water-based and solvent-based formulas. They come in generic formulas for all surfaces or formulas that are specific to the surface you are applying to. For example, you would want a Brick Paver Sealer for a Paver Patio and a Chimney Sealant for your Chimney, but you could use MasonrySaver All-Purpose Water Repellent for both.
