Supreme Shield SB-600 Wet Look Sealer
For 2025, we have found that the Supreme Shield SB-600 and SB-350 (low VOC States) are the most popular sealers for a wet look without gloss or shine. This can be used for stamped concrete, brick paving, and other decorative concrete surfaces. If you have any questions about this product, please ask me in our Q&A area below. I am here to help!
SUPREME SHIELD SB is a solvent-based penetrating sealer designed for stamped concrete, concrete pavers, and other porous concrete surfaces. Its application enhances the color and gives a wet look without adding the gloss and plastic associated with other traditional film-forming sealers. Once treated, the surface repels water and oil to prevent staining.

Check online. Two coats are normal. Apply sealer 2 days after pressure washing.
Can this be applied a few days apart for a 2nd coat?
Yes, I believe so.
Can I use this product on my Brick and mortar porch and steps as well as my brick paver walkway
Can you post a picture of the brick porch?
Here is a picture
Yes, it should work on the brick porch.

Two years ago we installed a Techo Bloc paver patio with Techo Bloc bull nose coping around our salt water pool in Pennsylvania. We want to seal the pavers and coping. We are looking for a sealer that will give a wet look without being slippery There is polymetric sand in joints that is still intact. Would you recommend the Supreme Shield SB-600 for the pavers and coping? Also, since there is a white haze on the surface, how would you recommend that we clean the surface before we apply the sealant? Thank you!
Post a picture of the white haze. There could be many reasons for this and not one solution will fix all scenarios.
The SB-600 will work well once prepped correctly.
Is there an odor with the ss SB-600 sealer?
Also, will it enhance the color on stamped concrete since it has faded and even things out? Or, should Tint be added? Afraid to use tint because don’t want a color that I don’t like.
Yes, it is solvent based so it has an odor. it enhances like a wet look. It cannot be tinted.
Can I add color into the sealer?
No, you cannot.
How much time should I wait before applying the second coat?
As soon as the first coat is dry. 1-2 hours.
How much does 0ne gallon cost
About $40.
Hi, we had a new bbq island installed in our backyard with a polished concrete counter. The sealer that was originally applied enhanced the color of the concrete which I loved and gave a wet look with a mid gloss. This was explained to be a “breathable” sealer so that water could escape. Unfortunately after the excessive rains, the sealer bubbled and now needs to be refinished and resealed. What sealer would you recommend? This one or the Super Seal Matte? What are the differences? I like that this one had the wet look, but low on the gloss/plastic look.… Read more »
Your current coating must be removed 100% first. Try the Supreme Shield SB-600 for a wet look with no shine. Or Super Seal Matte for a wet look with a matte shine. They are both breathable sealers.
Thank you for the response! The contractor said they would refinish it. Will they need to wet polish it all away, or is there a chemical stripper that would remove it 100%?
Based on your experience, which would match the look we have today (minus the bubbles of course). Will either give a similar look?
Appreciate the help and guidance!
Might be best to sand or polish this off. Either should be fine as long as it applied correctly.
We have a 10 year old stamped and stained concrete walk and porch. Both have started to fade a bit. Would this Super Shield 60 be the best product to apply to rejuvenate the color and seal it? We don’t really want a real shiny, plastic look on them. Diamond Clear had been recommended, but your reviews indicate that it develops a milky haze. Also, can this Super Shield be used on tumbled brick steps to seal them and to retard the growth of mold and mildew on the steps?
Diamond clear will create a shine. SB-600 is a wet look with no shine unless it has been previously sealed with a shiny sealer. Id so, the shine will show through. It should work for you on the stamped and stained concrete. It will work on tumbled pavers. Sealers will not stop mildew or mold though. May minimize but will not stop it permanently.
We had a topical sealer applied to new decorative stamped concrete 3 years ago. By last year it appeared to be totally worn off. Can we apply a new penetrating sealer over top this spring?
You cannot apply a penetrating sealer like this over a topical sealer. The topical sealer is still present even though it might have faded out.
What is the time to dry between coats
1-2 hours normally.
Can u roll in sun and do u wet the roller or soak it when rolling
Yes, you can do in the sun. Saturate the roller.
Can I purchase a sample to see if it gets me the results I want ?
You would have to check with them.
Is this product available in South Africa
No.
why did half my driveway turn white?
The sealer itself will not turn white so something else would the cause of this. Feel free to post a picture.
I have approximately 360 sq ft of concrete pavers to seal and I would like a wet look with no gloss so have selected Supreme Shield SB-600. How much product do I need? I see that 2 light coats are required. Is the 75-150 sq ft coverage per gallon for 1 coat or 2 coats? Thank you.
It is for two light coats. You will need about 3-4 gallons for the two coats.
Which application method produces the best results; spraying, or rolling? If rolling, what nap roller pad is recommended?
Either one will work. We always spray though as it is easier but you will need an expensive metal sprayer. 1/2 inch nap works.
Should it be a roller pad that is made for oil based products such as the Purdy lambswool? Or does that matter?
Would like to install on cultured stone can you send a picture of what it looks like whe dried on stone. I would like to do exterior of my house balls which are cultured stone.
Sorry but wet look sealer like this are designed for stones, but concrete.
where can I buy this supreme Shield SB-600 by Clemons Concrete Coating
Check with Clemons.
can this product be used on exterior stained concrete patio
Yes you can.
Can this product be used on Saltillo tile floors and interiors
No it cannot.
I purchased a home with an approx 15 year old stamped concrete pool deck that is in need of sealing, please see pictures attached. Is there a way to tell what type of sealer was previously used and what would be compatable? what method should I use to prep that will not cause a problem with the pool itself. What type of sealer to use in the cracks. Any tips would be appreciated.
You have an old sealer that has turned white and has to be removed before resealing. You will need to chemically strip this with heavy pressure washing. Not easy but can be done if you have the right stripper (we use Clemons Concrete Stripper) and a good pressure washer. Since this is around a pool, you may want to do the stripping when it closed as it cannot get into the water.
You may want to hire this out.
I replaced my concrete driveway and used the brickform color agent for affect a year ago and waited for the concrete to dry before sealing, A hazy look overtook my color, but when I wet it down I see the color that we wanted. I tested a bit of this product and like the results, bringing back that wet look. My concern is whether it will blister over a period of time, and if so, will I be able to power wash it off and re-seal it again? I’d like to know that it will hold the look for at… Read more »
It should not blister as this is a penetrating coating. As for how long it lasts, two years is the norm before reapplication is needed.
Instructions on the SB-600 container so to roll immediately as you are spraying. What nap roller should be used for brick pavers?
Use a 1/2 inch nap.
My driveway has a stamp in the center with some color in it and it is surrounded by exposed aggregate. Would sb-600 work for this application? I had a quote done and was advised they would put fire sb-300 first then a second coat of sb-600. I am in southern Oregon.
Yes the Supreme Shield SB-600 would work for this. Just the two coats of the SB-600.
With 75-150sqft per gallon is that considering one cost or two? Eg 850sqft would require about 8 gallons or 16 gallons?
Thank you.
Two. About 8 gallons.
Can I use SB-600 on a driveway with a stamp and exposed aggregate?
I used SS25 2 years ago, mostly faded away. Can I now apply SB600
Yes you can.
Can this product be used for sub surface brick applications?
I am not sure. Best to contact them directly.
we are in our rainy season in Florida, I no longer want the shine of ss25 can I go over 2 yr old ss25 with the sb 600.
You can be the shine of the SS25 will still show underneath the SB-600.
Can I apply this over the top of the brown Super Seal 30? (No longer want the brown color) If I do will it desolve the Super Seal 30?
Adding this on top will not remove the brown tinted SS30 but “restore” the color and shine. You would have to chemically strip the SS30 off first.
Patio photo from question I posted within last half hour doesn’t seem to show. I’ll post here.
You should be able to use the SB-600 for all. It would be your best option for a wet look and no shine. It is a breathable acrylic.
Thank you very much for your help! Happy 4th of July!
Your reply to my question about the white hazy/spots on veranda surface was to test spots with Xylene and proceed with “Supreme Shield SB-600” if spots were gone after Xylene. (Is SS SB-600 a “styrene acrylic” product?) The 3 walls of the veranda are textured cement (2 photos attached) and have some of the whitish look appearing. They were not sealed 3 years ago when completed and have not been since. The patio surface (photo attached) also has never had a sealer applied. My question is whether the “Supreme Shield SB-600” could be used on all 3 surfaces or if… Read more »
How do you see the reviews for this product?
The article is the review.
How long do you wait before applying the second coat? The full drying time? I’m worried about stuff blowing onto the patio if we wait too long.
An hour or two.
Can this product be used on blue stone/natural patio stone?
No, I do not think so. Wet look sealers do not work well for natural stone. Dries blotchy.
Based on the info provided, applying 2 coats will cover an estimate of 75 – 150 sq. ft. ?
(exam,) 2 coats minimum coverage 75 sq. ft. 2 coats maximum coverage 150 sq. ft.
Yes that is correct.
Just had our drive and entry steps redone with Pewter colored Butterfield T1000 Stample Overlay decorative concrete. What sealer is best that can be rolled on without a sheen because we like the natural color.
You would want a product without a wet look as well and does not change the appearance: https://www.concretesealerreview.com/masonrysaver-heavy-duty-water-repellent-review/
Thank you. I’ll check these out.
Hi, I have stamped concrete. It just about went through the curing period.
I want to use the best sealer available, but it is hard to choose.
I want something that would penetrate to protect from water, stains, oil, etc., but besides penetrating also giving the concrete a wet look or light gloss. But it seems that one must choose between, penetrating sealers or film sealers. Can’t we have both? Penetrating and gloss finish/wet look finish? (I’m still a bit undecided about wet, light gloss or full gloss) I guess it depends on what is available.
Please help.
The only way to get a “gloss” is to have it dry on top of the surface. It will soak in somewhat though to help “seal”. For example, the Super Seal 30 is a cure and seal that gives a wet look at a gloss shine.
As far as long lasting, and keeping the color from fading. The contractor used a liquid release and mixed in powder release. I know that through time, if concrete is not sealed, the color will fade away. Would the Supreme Shield SB-600 protect the color? Or would I need to use Film Sealers? Local contractors are recommending Glaze N Seal Multi Purpose Sealer Water Based. But with my own research, I’m seeing that the recommended could be another. There really isn’t reviews out there that compare side by side with Supreme Shield Sealers. So it’s hard to know which sealer… Read more »
Will the Supreme Shield SB-600 prevent the color that was added to the concrete via the release agent from fading? And if yes, how soon would I need to reseal?
Every 2 years.
I have a colored poured concrete patio (not stamped). I like it’s color when wet. Would this product provide the wet look color but not be blotchy? I understand that the gloss sealers can look blotchy on plain poured concrete. Is the same true of this product? Thank you!
I think you should be okay. Can you post a picture of the patio?
It appears a bit white-ish. What do you recommend I do? I was wanting the wet no gloss look now. What roller nap and what is best way to apply? Thanks.
The only way to achieve a wet look with no gloss is to chemically strip off the Diamond Clear.
What is the best way to seal with a roller? To go in one direction and then again overlapping? What roller nap should be used? I used Super Diamond Clear sealer 3 years ago to seal my stamped concrete patio. Is it ok to just power wash and seal with Supreme Shield SB-600?
Has the Dimanond Clear turned white in color? It has a tendency to do that as it is a solid acrylic. Also, the SB-600 does not have gloss but the Diamond Clear is a higher gloss sealer. Not the same.
Hanover pavers installed 3 months ago approx. 4,000 sf commercial vehicle drive up area therefore have 40 oil / grease spots existing now. Recommendation on sealer to resist oil / grease in a maintenance free or washed once a month in future. I plan to remove oil stains using degreaser commercial with water wash then seal pavers. Would it be best to use a joint stablizer type sealer or a styrene sealer …. No wet look wanted …. Your recomendations – Hanover sealer or Pro So Co products available locally. Wet southern climate.
No change of appearance? Goal is to just seal from spills of oil?
I live in Florida, lot of humidity and heat. We are looking to seal new pavers and are looking for:
1) Wet Look—Yes
2) Gloss;
3) with joint stabilization-Yes;
4) easily applied–Yes
5) Sealer will be applied on back patio pavers
thank you
The Supreme shield SB-600 will work if you want the wet look with no gloss.
so years ago in New York we had sealer that lasted more the 1 year! Now it seems something has changed and i cant get a straight answer except that NY State changed the regulations on sealer. I seal my concrete now every year it seems and it looks awful by the end of the season, very faded and old. I want the wet look, I also have allot of white concrete i need to seal this year, What product can I use that will last more then one season here in New york? I will go and pick it… Read more »
Plain white concrete? Wet look sealers do not work on plain concrete. Dries blotchy.
Wet Look – Yes
Matte
Joint stabilize – No
Easy to apply – Yes
Stained driveway
Look at Super Seal Matte or Supreme Shield SB-600.
Is this wet look sealer "breathable". I am planning to use this in Florida (very humid) on pavers and want to avoid the white haze look.
This is a penetrating sealer that does not film on top so yes, it is breathable or not prone to turning white.
I have an outdoor grill island with concrete countertops. The countertops were poured using no shrink grout. Looking for wet look to bring out natural concrete colors. Will this product work?
It should but we have never used it on concrete countertops.
I have 2000 ft of patio blocks that are 5 years since treated, is supreme SB 600 proper for this project?
You can use the Supreme Shield if you do not want any shine but a wet look.
Will the salt that is spread on the roads to melt ice during winter dissolve this sealant if dragged to driveway? If yes, is there a better sealant?
We have never seen road salts dissolve a sealer.
Can I get supreme shield 600 wet look in uk
I doubt it.
