Supreme Shield SB-600 Wet Look Sealer

Supreme Sheild Wet Look Sealer

For 2025, we have found that the Supreme Shield SB-600 and SB-350 (low VOC States) are the most popular sealers for a wet look without gloss or shine. This can be used for stamped concrete, brick paving, and other decorative concrete surfaces. If you have any questions about this product, please ask me in our Q&A area below. I am here to help!

Supreme Shield Wet Look Concrete Sealer ReviewSUPREME SHIELD SB is a solvent-based penetrating sealer designed for stamped concrete, concrete pavers, and other porous concrete surfaces. Its application enhances the color and gives a wet look without adding the gloss and plastic associated with other traditional film-forming sealers. Once treated, the surface repels water and oil to prevent staining.

Regarding the SB600 or SB350 that you recommended: Is the coverage of 75-150 sf based on one or two coats? In otherwords, for 500sf with 2 coats applied how many gallons is needed? I have solid cement mortar joints (not sand) between my wire-cut brick pavers – will the SB600 or 350 seal over the solid cement mortar joints too? When future resealing is necessary over the SB600 or 350 applied, do you have to strip off the existing SB600/350? Are samples available of the SB600 or 350? THANKS

If you don’t use all the SB350 purchased, how long a life span will the remaining amount have when stored in a sealed container? Thanks for the reply.

Hi I have a bowral brown solid dry pressed face brick wall that I would like to prevent water ingress from the rain penetrating the brick over heavy raining days, what clear sealer can you recommend and how long would it last before it will need to be reapplied , is there any product you can recommend to give me at least a 20 year life span , currently over a coupe of days with heavy heavy rain the water penetrates the dry pressed bowral brown face brick and runs down the cavity of the double brick wall home and… Read more »

In your reply to my request for a sealer with a no sheen wet look on my wire-cut brick pavers & brick pool coping, you recommended SB600. The issue with the sealer is that it may do little to protect (solidify) the mortar joints between the brick pavers. If my assumption is correct, is there any sealer that’s similar to the SB600 that also provides the joint solidification? Thanks, Mike

Is this water-based? My newly poured, colored, stamped concrete has not yet cured but I plan to use this sealer when I do. If I use SB-600 every 2 years, do I have to remove the previous layer, or can I re-apply every 2 years without any prep work? Should I wait 30 days to seal my freshly poured concrete?

Can SB-600 be applied over a newly sealed brick patio?
It was sealed with a product for joint stabilization with no gloss but would prefer a more wet look?

can this product be tinted to darken the clear? I have a tiled patio, kind of terracotta color, I had cement poured next to it with color added but is not quite dark enough to match, so would like to put a little more red hue to the poured cement,,, and can this be put on the tile, which does not seem at all porus, but is 20 years old.

2 yrs ago I used a sealer product by the name of MasterKure CC 250 XS formerly Kure-N-Seal 25ES. ..After reviewing your product (supreme shield SB-600), I want to use it to reseal my stamped concrete. I was once told, the product you initially used should always be the one used going forward (re-coating)…Is there any truth to that.??..Is there any concerns if I use your product for my upcoming application ???.

There is an SB-350 version that is available as a lower-VOC option for those states which require it. Not required for my state, but have read some reviews about the odor of SB-600 being quite strong during application and cure, to the point some people had to vacate their homes for a bit. Are you aware of the SB-350 version and if it performs the same as SB-600? Another website opined there is no difference in performance, but they also sell the product, so prefer an objective opinion here. Thanks!

Also for 700 sq ft of brick pavers (4×8’s) is a 5-gallon pail enough for both coats? Or should I get an extra gallon or two? Note the pavers are about 15 years old and were just pressure-washed and re-sanded with polysweep sand.

Got it, thanks. Waiting on weather now. Any advice on rollers to use for this? The box stores never heard of a “solvent resietant roller” and no one heard of such a thing, they think a roller for oil-based paint would be fine.

I have a concrete paver patio which have faded. We like the wet look. Would you recommend the Supreme Shield SB-600 sealer? The patio is 600 square feet. How many gallons would I need. Also, Is one coat sufficient or should a put down a second coat? I live in NJ. Thanks

That’s 3-4 gallons for 1 coat? 2 coats would require 7-8 gallons? The coverage per gallon states 75 – 150 sq ft

Powerwashing my front and back patio today to prep for a DIY seal.

Was going to try the SB-600 wet look sealer, is this what you would recommend? Apply with 1 inch nap roller?

Also, would you recommend stripping before applying sealer?

My pavers are discolored. I sprayed the pavers with liquid chlorine, brushed it in and let stand for about 15 minutes then pressure washed them with a 3000PSI pressure washer using a 25 degree nozzle and no change. Is there a sealer with a terracotta tint to restore the color. Photo of the pavers attached.

Question- What is a cost effective sealer for newly finished concrete floors? The floor surface is shiny (polished) but would like to enhance that look and provide a curing aid for the concrete at the same time. (I am a concrete floor contractor). Not looking for a product for sidewalks or decorative/stamped finishes as i am happy with what i use currently.

Came across your site by accident and think it is fantastic. I love the review on SB-600, any reason it would not work outside on travertine pavers? It’s just want I want to achieve, wet look-no gloss.
Thanks!

If this product repells water and oil, can you tell me how this performs in colder climates? I’m specifically wondering if by applying this product, will it make my driveway more slippery in the winter when snow falls on it or when it is wet?

Can this be applied onto 15 year old pavers? They will first be cleaned by Powerwashing. Also can a home owner do the application or is a professional preferable? How is it applied. Finally, how can I remove oil from my pavers since Powerwashing does not do the trick?

I have a washed aggregate walkway and patio that has not been resealed since the initial seal 10 years ago. It appears that the original sealer was a shiny sealant based on where the doormat was covering. I want the wet look without being slippery when wet or shiny. Will the SB-600 work in this application? Do I need to be concerned about the type of original sealer put on 10 years ago? What would you recommend as a cleaner?

I have a pool area with stones pavers surrounding it. They are unlevel and I would like to re-level and then seal the pavers and the gaps. Which product would be best for this. I would like it to be colourless and keep the colour of the pavers which is an off white, is this product clear. I would obviously like the pool to look flat and level but not slippery, which products are the best for pool areas and being wet then out in the harsh sun. Thanks

Hi, I have a patio and front sidewalk that are aggregate. I last sealed them in the spring of 2015 with Diamond Clear Seal. I had previously used that product and it lasted for years. The last application lasted one year. The aggregate is totally bare now with no shine. Will Supreme Seal SB-600 last for several years? Do I need to do any prep work other than hosing the surface off and making sure it isn’t too warm?

Thanks,

Hi Have porch and small walkway that was previously “sealed” several years ago using Thompsons water seal… now have white haze on pavers and pavers are dull and faded. thank you for recommending SB-6000. I see white spots in my newly laid cal stone pavers. Cal stone website says that it’s natural process and white spots will go away after some time. If I apply SB-6000 now, will white spots get trapped and will not go away? Should I wait until white spots are gone or can I apply SB-6000 now? Thank you
