SUPREME SHIELD SB is a solvent-based penetrating sealer designed for stamped concrete, concrete pavers, and other porous concrete surfaces. Its application enhances the color and gives a wet look without adding the gloss and plastic associated with other traditional film-forming sealers. Once treated, the surface repels water and oil to prevent staining.

Wet look sealers will not work on plain white concrete. It will dry blotchy. You could use a clear epoxy coating. Try Restore A Garage brand.
can the SB600 be applied over an old solvent based gloss sealer after power washing and degreasing?
There would be no reason to as the gloss sealer under the SB-600 would prevail with the shine level. Meaning you can’t dull the shine down by adding the SB-600 on top.
what is the recommended dry time between coats of SB600? I live in central FL and will spray in morning so temp should be in low 80s.
As soon as the first coat is dry. 1-2 hours.
Thanks, I’d like to confirm I’m good sealing 1 week after pavers have been installed. And concerns with doing it now instead of waiting? Using SB600.
It should be fine as long as it is clean and no efflorescence or other stains are noticeable.
Can SB-600 be used on residential exterior brick walls to give them a no-gloss wet look to enhance the brick’s appearance?
It should work to do that.
A metal sprayer is recommended for solvent sealer application. Is it possible to clean out such a sprayer for future re-use or would the sprayer realistically be for one-time use?
Yes, you can clean it and reuse it. What to clean with varies on the sealer you are using.
A sample of SB600 is forthcoming and I expect that’s the product I’ll be using. Having a difficult time finding a consumer-grade metal sprayer that’s less expensive than what a pro would use.

Can you use a plastic paint project sprayer?
No, you need a metal sprayer.

Just installed Nicolock concrete pavers this week. Contractor hasn’t put poly sand down (open for suggestions on poly sand). The pavers looks dull and we would love a wet look without a sheen soSB-6000 looks like the best choice.
However, Nicolock suggests waiting a year to apply sealant because of efflorescence. Is SB-6000 THAT breathable that it can be applied immediately after installation? I’m cautiously optimistic as it seems too good to be true.
Efflorescence, if it happens typically will show soon or within a few months after installation of the pavers. No sealer will allow efflorescence to “breathe” out.
We would wait 2-3 months and then seal if you are concerned
Does the SB 600 product work well with concrete that is about 10 years old. Can I get a sample can or quart size container to test on my stamped concrete. ??
Yes, age does not matter. As for samples, we do not sell from this site so you wold have to find them elsewhere.
How often do I need to apply this sealer. we live in Colorado , but not a lot of wear.
Every 2 years or so is normal.
Last summer I had a stamped concrete patio installed. It was sealed with Super Seal 25 (acrylic solvent based decorative sealer). Can that concrete be resealed with SB-600 even though it’s a penetrating sealer and SS25 is more of a film?
There would be no reason to do this as the SS25 under the SB-600 will only be enhanced and restored to the same shine and wet look as before.
Is SB-600 ok in Indiana?
I have a new exposed aggregate driveway that has some inconsistencies from the wash off process. Some areas have less stones and others have more. I would like wet look; do you know which would make the inconsistencies less noticeable. Gloss vs Matte etc. thank you.
Gloss or matte will not make a difference. Try SuperSeal30 for a Gloss or Supreme Shield SB-600 for no gloss. Both have a wet look.
Can this product be used when the pavers were previously sealed with AQUA CURE VOX?
It should be fine.
Can you use this product on a new solid poured concrete driveway in Northern Va?
No, you cannot use this on plain poured concrete. Use it for decorative concrete like stamped, pavers, etc.

We live in Northern California (The SF Bayarea). Want to apply sealant on three types of surfaces – concrete, aggregate concrete and brick. I have attached photos of all three. All these surfaces are horizontal, includes the driveway and walkways around the house. We want to get a wet but not glossy look. Some gloss is ok. We are thinking about Supreme Shield SB-600. Want to confirm if we can use it for all three surfaces.

Sorry about missing the pictures. Here they are. Also, this surface is more than 25 years old and I do not think sealant was applied before. So there are stain spots on the concrete that powerwashing does not seem to remove. Is it ok to apply on top? Thank you.
You cannot use a wet look sealer on clay bricks and the plain poured concrete. It will dry very blotchy and uneven. You can use a wet look sealer on the aggregate. The SB-600 is not legal for CA though.

We live in KS and just put down timberwood blend tumbled Ledge Rock Paver patio. We are going to put the polymeric sand (Gator Maxx) down tomorrow. We want a wet look to enhance the color and wouldn’t mind a light gloss but don’t the want stones to dark. We’re thinking about the Supreme Shield SB-600. Thoughts? Is there a recommended time to wait after putting polymeric sand down before applying seal? I think I saw 60 to 90 days somwhere. I appreciate your help!
You can seal it now and the SB-600 would work well.

I just had a patio done with UniLock pavers. They used polymeric sand for the joints. The patio is nice but looks very dull. I’m thinking we want a wet look, with a semi-gloss look. What is the best solvent based product and how many gallons for 650 square feet.

The Supreme Shield SB-600 is best. About 5-6 gallons for two coats.

Is there a Joint stabilizing sealer from Clemons that can be used for one coat and combine with Supreme Seal SB600 without getting too glossy? i prefer a wet look.. if so, which one should go first?
No, that would not work. You could try the Super Seal Matte. That would give a low gloss and joint stabilizing.

The difference is either solvent or water-based. The SS Matte has a shine that is low like a satin. The others do not have a shine. All 3 give a wet look.
Between the Clemons SB-600 and SureBond SB-6000 which one will give the darker look by enhancing the concrete color the most?

I don’t like the shine of high gloss sealers and was looking for something that gives a more matte / natural look. Will the SB-600 bring out the same darkness as a high gloss sealer would? The SB-600 should work for you but not sure which version you should get for Canada.
Looking to seal and enhance my concrete pool deck…looks like SB-600 may do the trick? But also want to seal and enhance the flagstone path…which product is best for those? Both surfaces shown in this pic.
Wet look sealers will not work well for natural stone like Flagstone as they will dry blotchy. Not sure about your concrete deck. What type of surface is this and is it porous? It looks like an epoxy with the dots.
It’s just a concrete deck. The dots are small pits. Not sure if it’s ever been sealed before but definitely not epoxy. Thanks.

Can SB-350 be used on bluestone coping? When applying this to my pool patio pavers, some got sprayed on my pool coping. It doesn’t look bad, it just darkened it a bit in the spots it was sprayed. It is noticeable though so I was wondering if I should just continue on and just use it on the bluestone as well for a uniform look. If not, would the sb-350 blotches come out if I power washed the coping? Thanks for your help
When applying a wet look sealer to natural stone, it can dry blotchy. Not sure if it will do this or not to your coping. You cannot pressure wash it off and stripping would be nearly impossible without damaging the nearly pool water or pavers that are sealed.
Help! My stamped concrete walkway is blistered from a cheap Bayer sealer I put on it a few years ago. Water got under it, it turned white, etc. All the perils folks have been talking about in the thread. I used a concrete cleaner and I power washed which seemed to removed a good amount of it, but there is obviously sealer remaining and it looks terrible now due to the blistering of the old sealer. I recently purchased this product (sb-350) and I’m about to use it on my patio pavers next week. Would this work on limestone steps and pillar caps as well or do I seal them with something else? The steps/caps are a matte finish, grey color and stain very easily. I just want to seal and protect them and I don’t necessarily want the wet look for them. Any suggestions?
Do not use this on limestone, it will dry blotchy. Try a regular water repellent like Super Seal-M.

Typically no.
Should I add a grit to it?
It is not possible to add a grip into the SB-600 since it is a penetrating sealer.
I have 20 year old pressed concrete patio. sealed annually possibly with water based sealer. now I’m trying to remove old sealer and refinish with solvent based sealer. concrete looks good when wet (Two tone colors) but dries to non-discript beige. What is best sealer to apply/. Please help.

I am looking at this product, as I like the wet look. I do have minimal sand in between the pavers. Is this the right product to use? Also, you suggest applying 2 thin coats. With that said, how much time to wait in between applications?
Yes, this would work well. Second coat goes on as soon as the first is dry to touch.
What due do recommend prior to sealing on cleaning the surface of sand? Had pavers installed and waiting 30 days to seal it.
Just give it a light pressure wash.
Can this be applied over CSI Solvent Seal 18/Color Enhancer 22?
It says it is a gloss sealer while the SB-600 is not. That means if you use the SB-600 over it, it will still have a gloss when done.

Better off going with a coating like the Super Seal 25 or the Super Seal 30 in this case.
We have a off white coping around our pool in Florida that is approximately 7-8 months old. They are staining and also have a green mildew on them. What is the best product to seal them with.

I live in southern california. Inland where it can easily get over 100 degrees. I poured 2 pads of concrete. One is for a basketball court (brushed concrete) and the other is stamped for a hot tub Both are non tinted all though we painted lines on the basketball court.
What would he the best sealer for each? Being mindful that one will be exposed to moisture and chlorine and we dont want the other to be at all slippery. Looking for low maintenance here and not looking for the wet look either.

You cannot seal over a paint so not sure what you need for the BBall court. As for the stamped, the SB-600 is not allowed in CA. Try Masonry Saver Decorative Concrete Sealer.
I have stamped concrete with some color in direct sunlight. every sealer I’ve used with in a month the color fades out. in shade area color stays. does your sealer stand up to sun ?
This is not our sealer but yes, it should hold for color but you will need to prep by removing all previous coatings first as it seems you are blushing the sealers from the sun and you cannot fix this without stripping all the failed coatings.

Will your wet look sealer fix this problem where the pavers have faded only after a year and a half? You can see from my photos that where I had a rug under a round table the original color is still there. But the area in open sunlight has really faded quite a bit. Also, will your wet look sealer cause the white film that I got on my pavers when they were first installed and sealed or was this caused by the type of sealer that was used?
You will have to strip this patio to fix this. SB-600 does not turn white.
I don’t currently have any sealer on my patio. I had it striped off last year when the pavers turned a whiteish color and the sand in between turned a bright white to the point it looked like a checker board. It has been without sealer for about a year.
The darker circular area is the original color of the pavers that was hidden by a rug and the larger gray area is where it faded.
You still have an old sealer on there and is why the one part is white and the covered rug area is not. It needs to be stripped again properly to fix it. After stripping use a cleaner degreaser.
I am not sure what sealer was put on my stamped concrete and the installer won’t answer my emails! He said it was a semi gloss product and there is a slight shine. If he used a penetrating sealer does that prevent me from using any other type of sealer…like the film forming type?

We applied a coating of Armor WL550 which didn’t give a wet look at all. Is it ok to apply Supreme shield over that coating?
It will probably not work unless you remove the current coating first.
I just had a pool built and the pool deck as well as the patio are made of Cambridge paver stones with armortec and between the joints is the polymeric sand. My wife and I love the look of these stones when they’re wet but not so much when they’re dry and dull looking. Would the sb-600 be sufficient to achieve that wet look that rain provides, without causing any harm to the stones or joint mortar? Thanks in advance for the help.
