As of 2025, we have found that the Kilz Low-Lustre/Wet Look (High-Gloss) Sealer needs to be recoated every 9-18 months. It had issues hazing on our brick paver test patio.

Kilz Low-Lustre/Wet Look (High-Gloss) Sealer Manufacturer Description

KILZ® Low-Lustre/Wet Look (High-Gloss) Sealer is a clear, non-yellowing masonry sealer. The acrylic-based formula seals, protects and beautifies concrete and masonry surfaces with a low-gloss or wet look high-gloss finish. It can also be used as a protective topcoat for paints and stains. Use on previously coated or uncoated, vertical or horizontal, interior or exterior surfaces such as: pavers, concrete, Mexican tile, unglazed tile, brick, aggregate, natural and artificial stone, masonry and stucco. Not recommended for use on wood, metal, granite, marble, terrazzo, areas immediately adjacent to pools or areas subject to hydrostatic pressure. Do not use over oil-based products. Sealed surfaces may become slippery when wet. Use caution when walking on surfaces when moisture is present. For residential applications only. Apply in sections and walk on dry areas during application.

Kilz Low-Lustre/Wet Look (High-Gloss) Sealer Scores (1-10)

Wet Look: 5

– Kilz Low-Lustre/Wet Look (High-Gloss) Sealer darkened our brick paver driveway and had a medium wet look after drying. Not close to solvent-based sealers or other quality water-based sealers.

Gloss Level: 5

– The Kilz Low-Lustre/Wet Look (High-Gloss) Sealer gave close to a matte shine. The overall appearance on our test patio was rich looking but not very shiny.

– Black Diamond Wet Look Stone Sealer states that it is not supposed to darken the surface but it did very slightly.

Gloss Level: 3

– Black Diamond Wet Look Stone Sealer is water-based and applies easily. It goes on milky white in color and it is supposed to dry with a glossy shine. After it dried, there was little to no gloss on our brick paver patio after we applied two coats.

EnduraSeal 100% Acrylic “Wet Look” Semi Gloss Sealer Review

EnduraSeal 100% Pure Acrylic Concrete Sealer

As of 2025, we have found that the EnduraSeal 100% Acrylic Sealer does not perform well or last that long and needs to be recoated annually for Stamped Concrete, Brick Pavers, and other Decorative Concrete Surfaces. It also has issues turning white as it is not a breathable sealer, but a 100% pure acrylic.

Wet Look: 8.5

– EnduraSeal 100% Pure Acrylic Solvent Sealer contains 20%+ solid content of acrylic. It darkened our stamped concrete patio as if wet with water and stayed that way after drying. Enhanced the natural red and tones of the patio.

Gloss Level: 7.5

– The EnduraSeal 100% Pure Acrylic Sealer gave a matte shine not a semi-gloss shine. The overall appearance on our test patio was quite rich-looking but not too shiny. The sealer was slightly slippery after applying and was a danger to the pool area.

Rust-Oleum EPOXYSHIELD Review

Application: 7

The Rust-Oleum EPOXYSHIELD was fairly easy for me to apply for. We did not like the pouches that it comes in. It is much easier to use cans when mixing the components together. The application was straightforward after mixing. It applies “thinner” than other brands we have tested and dried in 4 hours.

Gloss Level after Application: 7

The lower solid content of the Rust-Oleum EPOXYSHIELD gave our test garage a medium gloss shine after 24 hours of drying.

Rust-Oleum RockSolid Manufacturer Description

Rust-Oleum RockSolid 76 oz. Gray Polycuramine 1 Car Garage Floor Kit (2 Pack) offers unsurpassed durability. The unique Polycuramine formula is 20 times stronger than epoxy. It resists salt, oil, gas, and other harsh chemicals. This is one of the toughest floor coatings available. It works great on workshop floors, garage floors, and other interior concrete surfaces. Zero VOCs and a low odor make it an excellent choice for indoor applications. It is easy to maintain and lasts a lifetime while still looking fantastic.

Rust-Oleum RockSolid Review

Application: 5

Rust-Oleum RockSolid coverage was not close to the suggested amount on the box, at about 1/2 or 150 sq. feet per kit. This is a known issue with the brand and product; you will find numerous other online reviews complaining about this problem. We do not like the pouches it comes in, which are prone to leaking. The supplied roller does not hold up and falls apart when used. It took 2-3 days to fully cure and dry.

Gloss Level after Application: 8

After 24 hours of drying, the Rust-Oleum RockSolid gave our test garage a higher gloss shine, but the gloss level was not consistent throughout the garage floor.
