Our inground pool deck is stamped concrete. We have used Super Diamond Clear sealer every year. I like a high gloss wet look and after itās sealed it looks awesome but fades quickly and loses its look before summer is over. In areas that are covered, it keeps itās shine. Hi, we had a contractor clean and apply some “antiquing” and sealer to our aging stamped concrete patio. It’s still pretty dull and pitted looking, and slightly porous. Could I go over it with the superseal 25 to give it a better finish? Will it help with the pitting look?
As long as it is porous, it should work to enhance to color. You cannot fix pitting with a sealer.

Hi , We have just applied H&C Clarishield Solvent based High Gloss Sealer on Sat Jun18/2022 on our year old water based stained stamped concrete. It is yet to rain here in Clemmons NC. You would have to strip off the H&C first with chemical stripping and pressure washing. Do you want to do this?

Hi, I have a concrete pool deck about 8-10 years old. The surface appears to be stamped or molded and appears to have been stained the color of wet beach sand. I do not know if the concrete was sealed or how. Try Super Seal 25 for this. Aso, you might want to add their Supre Grip into the sealer for traction around the pool.

A third party applied Deco Guard Premium Concrete Protection High Gloss to our stamped concrete in Colorado and the results after six months are horrible. The shine has diminished and discoloration is everywhere. First question: How is Deco Guard rated ?
Second question: We are looking at another vendor and he is using Super Diamond Sealer. Is this compatible with Deco, is it better for shine and protection?

All stamped concrete sealers will darken the appearance. You can get one with little to no shine. Try SuperSeal-Matter.
About 13 years ago we had a company pour our stamped concrete patio, which is a large area. They stained it with a product called āSmithās Color Floor in a dark brown color with a white border. They sealed it with a products called W.R. Meadows SeaTight. Every single year the color fades and the white area is pitted even though we stain the entire area and seal it every year. It we re-stain it can we use one of these products to seal it? If so, how long should it hold up before needing to be re-sealed
You cannot restain over a sealer You would have to strip it all done to the bare concrete, restain, and then reseal.
It sounds like an extremely major job to strip everything off of the concrete and start all over.
If that is done and your stain and sealer product is used, how long should it last in the Pacific Northwest before the sealer should be put on again.
It is normal to reseal every 2-3 years or as needed.
I have a stamped concrete driveway that was dyed during the pouring process. The contractor used Euclid Super Diamond Clear to seal.

You do not need a chemical to clean it unless the Diamond Clear has turned white. Just pressure wash with water if it has not turned white or blushed.
If you strip the Diamond Clear then it is possible you will remove some of the release color during the process but not likely.

You cannot make the Diamond Clear less glossy by adding a low gloss sealer over the top as the gloss from the Diamond Clar will still be prevalent.
Using a product like the Super Seal Matte which has an additive to lower the gloss level may help dull it some but it will still have some shine no matter what.

Sealer will not darken the pits. You may need to stain them and that means you will have to remove if possible the sealer you put on.
I was afraid of that, but I know that the prep work will make the difference. I’m not sure if there’s an average I could be looking at, but at 560 square feet, any idea on what a resurface might run?

My goals are to 1) seal it to make it easier to clean the dust/dirt that accumulates; 2) allow me to slide my wicker porch chairs easily (right now they are hard to slide even though I have attached sliders to the bottoms); 3) not have the finish be super slick so people can injure themselves. Just used a stripper to remove old sealer before putting down SuperSeal 25. I am having a lot of trouble getting the stripper off. It is white and hard to get off. Used a power washer and lots of brushing. Any ideasā¦ should I try Xylene?
Stripper residue and not old sealer? If so, you need a cleaner degreaser to remove it.

Stamped concrete sealers will all have a wet look and or shine level of some sort. Penetrating sealers with no wet look and or gloss will not be able to soak into stamped concrete.

After year 1, it was faded out, due to sun and some hazing, although product still remained. Stick with the SS25. Apply every other year. In off years apply xylene to restore shine. Do not scrub the xylene, just spray on and let dry.
what is best for stamped concrete around a inground pool? The product that was used when the concrete was installed was very slippery to walk on when it was wet and we would like to avoid putting on a new surface that is also slippery.
The best way to fix this going forward is to add a grip into your sealer. Try the Super Seal 25 with the Super Grip additive..

Approximately 4 years ago we had a contractor install a stamped concrete patio. He used SuperSeal 2000 as a sealer. He recommended that every year or 2 that I reseal it with the same product. I have followed all of the instructions and every fall and continuing through the winter the coating appears to fail and I get pitting in the sealer. Obviously it looks horrible. Post pictures for product prep help and what to use after. BTW, the SuperSeal 2000 is not the same or made by the same people that make the Super Seal 25 and the Super Seal 30. Completely different coatings.
