Super Seal 25 Concrete Sealer Review
SuperSeal25 is a Semi-Gloss Concrete Sealer for Brick Paver Patios, Exposed Aggregate, and Stamped Concrete. It darkens the appearance and leaves a shine similar to a semi-gloss.
The SuperSeal25 is a 25% solid solvent-based, breathable acrylic sealer and curing compound suitable for use on interior and exterior concrete surfaces.
SuperSeal25 Paver and Concrete Sealer Ratings (1-10)
Wet Look: 10
SuperSeal25 darkened the paver driveway very well, giving the surface a much-needed enhanced look. All the pavers’ colors stood out, restoring the original look.
Gloss Level: 8
SuperSeal25 contains 25% solids, which leaves our driveway with a semi-gloss shine. The sealer dried in a few hours, and we were able to drive on the surface the next day.
Joint Sand Hardening: 8
SuperSeal25 is thinner in consistency than the 30 version. This allows the sealer to penetrate the joint sand better, but still not as well as a water-based paver sealer.
Fading/Wearing After 2 Years: 7
At the 2-year mark, I noticed that the sealer had lost about 30% of its original look. A light cleaning to remove the dirt and grime spruced up the appearance. No peeling was evident.
White Haze/Yellowing: 10
– There was no visible white hazing or yellowing of the sealer after 2 years.
My Overall Score SuperSeal25 at 2-Year Period: 8.4
– SuperSeal25 is a perfect economical sealer. It enhances, leaves a nice shine, and does not discolor when appropriately applied. We noticed the sealer did not leave hot tire marks on the driveway after 2 years.

Best Sealer (Travertine or other Natural Stone) Two and a half years ago we applied the SuperSeal25 and it lasted 2 years when we wanted it freshened up and applied a lower cost seal from Lowes sold as one of the best. I have hard water stains and hazing on stamp concrete. When it is wet, the hazing disappears and the water stains are not as prevalent. Will I have the same effect as water with Super Seal – 25? I have tried many hard water stain removers, power washed and scrubbed to no avail.
You proabbly need to remove the current sealer and stains first. Post some pictures.

We prefer solvent-based but there are some good water-based sealers as well.
Recently poured patio, contractor did very poor job, no gravel on base, poured over rebar laying on ground, did not raise rebar into body of concrete, left surface very rough, with sharp ridges. I desire to grind down surface to semi smooth. What would be a good product to seal? is there any products on market to beatify surface, say a satin, before sealing?
No, that will not work with plain poured concrete. Wet look or gloss sealers will dry very blotchy on plain white concrete. They are for decorative concrete surfaces and pavers.

I am looking for a mid to low shine sealer for an Old Mill brick stove backsplash to help the brick and grout from being penetrated by cooking oil. I had a sample of the brick and applied Super Seal 30 (which we had used on our pavers), and it seemed to prevent oil saturation but then I noticed the label said— “not for use on brick”. What would be suggested for this application?
You can use on concrete brick, not clay bricks.
I have a brick paver driveway in Florida. The driveway is in direct sun all day and I back a boat across it that often leaves tire marks. Is this the best for a reseal?

Only with a heavy-duty metal sprayer will it work. Any quality 1/2″ nap roller will work.
I bought this last year and never used it. It has been in my garage over the winter (northern Illinois). I was going to use it next month. Is it still good to use? Never opened it. Also, is a regular paint roller ok to use to apply it?
Hard to say. Open it and see if it looks good. Roll it on.

We have bricks with cement mortar between them in our sunroom as pavers and am looking for something to seal the bricks and give them semi gloss look can you help.
As long as the bricks are concrete and not clay, then you can use the Super Seal 25.
I HAVE Eagle Acrylic Concrete Paver Sealer ON MY POOL PAVERS NOW WHEN I DO A RESEAL CAN I USE SUPER SEAL 30 OR 25.I KNOW SOME SEALERS CAN NOT BE USED OVER OTHERS IT WILL BE ABOUT 3-4 YEARS SINCE I USED THE EAGLE SEALER BOTH ARE SOLVENT BASED AND I LIVE IN FLORIDA.
You can use the SS25 or SS30 over this.
Looking for something to seal pavers in backyard against house. Need something that will make pavers waterproof if possible. Prefer a semi wet look and something easy to apply and help stabilize joints. We are planning on apply some additional polymetric sand in joints as was installed in 2018 and want to touch up before applying sealer. We have Belgrad London Cobblestone look.

just installed Belgard ” Catalina Grana ” pavers around our pool . Will the SS 25 be slippery when wet?

This is a semi-gloss. They also have a Super Seal Matte for low shine and a Supreme Shield SB-600 for no shine. All will give a wet look. Shine level is your choice. Less shine would be less chance of slippery.
Looking for suggestions on best sealer to use on new pavers which have not been sealed before. I live in Arizona so they will be getting sun exposure for greater than half of the day. Thanks for any help, Daren.

I put a coat of a milky water based sealer on my pavers a year ago can I. Put your product over it?

I sealed my paver stones with Super Seal 25 I purchased from you. They are in an area that doesn’t get sun this time of year. Even in the middle of a dry day, there is a heavy layer of moisture on the surface of the stones. Will this eventually stop happening?
We do not make the SS25. I would suggest calling the manufacturer but no, it should not do that forever after full cure.

This product is not designed for plain poured concrete and the temps are too cold. It needs to be closer to 50.
I used Super Seal 25 on porcelain tile on my covered concrete patio.At first it looked great, but has turned whiteish in more than half the patio.I used redguard to seal the concrete before I installed the tile.Should I not have used this sealer on porcelain?Or can I put a heavier coat on and reliquify the first coat and hopefully get rid of the white?
This product does not work on porcelain. Adding more will not fix this. You will have to remove it.

You would need a concrete sealer stripper. We use one by Clemons Concrete. We do not have any experience with porcelain, sorry.

Yes as long as you do not have any poly sand hazing. You can do the sealing now.

I JUST PAINTED AN OUTSIDE CONCRETE DECK DIAMENTIONS ARE 8 BY 22 FEET WHAT KIND OF SEALER SHOUD I USE.

I just moved into a house with a stamped concrete driveway, patio and porch. I have no idea what was used to seal it previously. The driveway is worn. The porch and patio aren’t too bad. Can I use Super Seal 25 after power washing or do I need to take other steps to prepare?

The worn areas are where it gets car traffic and the other is where it idoes not.

What is the time frame for using this product? Dry surface before application, and then how long before it canbe rained on withour ruining it? We are having very rainy weather and are concerned about having enough drying time.
The surface has to dry for 48 hours before applying. After applying, 12-24 hours is safe.

Can you recommend a sealer for my patio? It is Leuder stone (quarried from North Texas). It’s pretty dense. From your reviews it seems that the SuperSeal 30 or 25 will work, but the reviews mention concrete and not quarried stone like Leuder. Thanks for any advice you can provide.
Concrete Sealers do not work very well for natural stone. Sorry.

I just bought 5 gal. of Super Seal 25 and used about 1/2 of it to seal my stamped patio. How long will the remaining half resealed in the original drum be good for?

Can a stain be added to the sealer. I have a stamped concrete that looks like a wood floor and would like to darken it.
You can add their tint packs but not stain into the sealer. It looks more opaque.
Is there another sealer like the SuperSeal25 semi-Gloss that a California Resident can use? This can not be shipped to me because of VOC restrictions.
Use the Super Seal VOC version.

No, I do not think you can apply it over this other sealer.
The tools for application say “Roller, Metal Sprayer”. I am assuming the sprayer is a pump sprayer such as the type used for spraying bushes with insecticide. I have a plastic pump sprayer. Is a metal one really necessary? Do instructions come with the SS25 product? What I am wondering is, do you both spray it on and roll it on?
It will not work or spray with a plastic sprayer. It is too thick. There are directions on the cans.

Try Super Seal Matte.
I would like to seal my exterior flagstone patio. It is a light different shades of tan. (eastern PA)
It appears the flagstone is fairly soft. Last year I had to have some of the patio flagstone re-set, because some water got underneath, froze, & lifted part of the flagstone. The patio flagstone is laid on top of concrete, & installed 10 years ago.
The concrete is not floating, & has a deep footer to stay in place. What sealer product do you use.

Use Super Seal-M or Masonry Saver Heavy Duty Water Repellent. Wet look or gloss sealers like the Super Seal 25 will not work well for flagstone. Dries blotchy.

We would not suggest it. A very strong odor that will linger for days. Tried it once and it took weeks for the smell to go away.
