SuperSeal30: High-Gloss Concrete Sealer for Superior Protection
SuperSeal30 is a premium higher-gloss concrete sealer designed for a variety of surfaces, including Brick Paver Patios, Exposed Aggregate, and Stamped Concrete. This popular sealer enhances the natural beauty of your surfaces by darkening their appearance and leaving a polished, shiny finish.
Key Features of SuperSeal30

- Darkens Surface Appearance: Enhances the color and depth of your concrete for a bold look.
- Solvent-Based Formula: Provides durability and long-lasting protection.
- Breathable Acrylic: Allows moisture to escape, reducing the risk of hazing or peeling.
Whether you’re sealing a patio, driveway, or decorative concrete, SuperSeal30 is an excellent choice for protection and aesthetics.
SuperSeal30 Paver and Concrete Sealer Scores (1-10)
Wet Look: 10
SuperSeal30 contains 30% solid acrylic. It darkened our 4-year-old paver patio as if wet and stayed that way after drying. It enhanced the natural red and brown tones in our paver bricks.
Gloss Level: 8
The high solid content of the SuperSeal gave our paver patio a high-gloss shine. The overall appearance on our test patio was quite rich-looking but not so shiny that it looked “fake.” The sealer was slightly slippery for the first couple of weeks when it rained, but after complete curing, that was not an issue.
Joint Sand Hardening: 8
– SuperSeal30 is very thick in consistency. While it did harden the sand between the pavers, it did not harden, as did some water-based versions. Due to the thickness of the sealer, it did not penetrate as deeply into the sand. The top 1/2 inch of the sand had hardened.
Fading/Wearing After 2 Years: 7
SuperSeal30 gets our best score regarding fading from the sun’s UV. It faded evenly with no wear. About 70% of the gloss and wet look remained at the 2-year mark.
White Haze/Yellowing: 10
– There was no visible white hazing or yellowing of the sealer after 2 years.
My Overall Score SuperSeal30 at 2 Year Period: 8.6
– SuperSeal30 is an excellent sealer for brick pavers and other decorative surfaces. It does what it is supposed to do by adding a rich look to the surface without any side effects. Future maintenance would be easy with light cleaning and re-coat. We like that it is a breathable styrene acrylic. This dramatically reduces any chance of hazing due to trapped moisture.

Where do I buy super seal products
Check with the manufacturer or online.
My driveway an patio are 2 years old aggregate an were sealed by builder with Eagle sealer when it was to hot outside. So basically it looks dull an splotchy in color. I’m having some more concrete work done next week an we are going to reseal everything with super seal 30 . Do I need to remove old sealer or can I just put new sealer over it ? Reason being is it’s 6000 sq ft of concrete so I’ll need approximately 60 gallons of it so I don’t want to make a $1000 + mistake by just spraying… Read more »
As long as the old sealer has not discolored (turned white) you should be okay to apply over. Feel free to post a picture to confirm there will be no issues.
Is this good for driveways? Will it make it slippery when wet? Thanks
Hello, you can use this on brick paver driveways. It should not be slippery when fully cured.
How long should i wait before I apply the sealer to a washed aggregate driveway. What size nap size do you recommend. Can I use a anti slip additive to sealer.
Thanks
About 48 hours after washing. 5/8 inch nap. Yes on the additive. Super Grip or Shark Grip.
how to remove the white spots from sprinkler overspray? thanx
If water spots, try Xylene solvent on the areea to restore the color and shine.
Can I use the super seal30 on my brick and cylinder blocks Of the house
No. It is designed for horizontal applications. Not vertical brick walls.
Am I able to put Super Seal 30 over bricks if the brick pavers where previously sealed 3 years ago ( I’d imagine it was NOT previously seal with Super Seal 30)? Thanks in advance.
Most likely but hard to say for 100% certain without knowing the old sealer type and if it failed by turning white.
Stripped with clemon stripper and resealed with clemson sb-600. Is there a way I cant tint this to change the color some? It looks like the stripper did not do a good job? I stripped it 2x. I’m down to the very bare surface. At this point I”m thinking maybe a color change would help darken it back up?
You cannot tint the SB-600. You can tint their Super Seal-25. I would contact them for advice.
Will this product reduce the appearance of oil spills? Where can I buy it
Hard to say with the oil spills as it depends on the color of the pavers and how much oil you are talking about. Check online for buying or contact manufacturer directly.
Does the brick and concrete need to be dry when applying?
Yes.
i installed pavers and used polymeric sand.. everything looked good until heavy rain arrived.. now, some of the pavers have a white haze along the sides or on top. i noticed if i wet it, the haze appearance goes away and the pavers have their dark color back.. once they dry, the haze returns. Would applying a Wet Look seal hide the haze?
It is most likely Polymeric Sand haze and that need to be chemically treated and removed before sealing. I would ask the manufacturer of the sand for help on how to remove.
Spent a little time going back over (old) posts, but could not (readily) find answer. Question : We have a paver driveway that did get sealed sometime in the past (at least 2-3 years ago). Have heard differing info from painters, but is there a legitimate “test” to see if it is safe to apply a new sealer over this existing material…especially knowing it is older now (since that last application)? We’re pretty sure it is xylene based on the color and durability it has exhibited (and probably not water based)…and in the past, we have loved the SuperSeal 30… Read more »
There is not a way to test. Make sure there is not and white hazing or bubbling.
You should be able to use the SS30 for this as long as the previous coating has not failed or discolored. Hard to say if the old sealer that has expired is still good. Might want to contact Clemons directly and ask them
Used this for my paver patio. Looks great! 🙂
Did you take any pictures of the patio?
Not yet. Snow on the patio now. I will try and take some when it melts off.
Can this be applied over Super Diamond sealer?
It would bes best to remove the Diamond Clear as the Diamond clear is a solid acrylic and can be prone to turning white/hazing.
The administrator is absolutely right. My patio had super diamond clear and it is a horrid product. It turned so white and yellow that it looks like my patio is a giant cataract. Removal is a messy nightmare. I used xylene, a deck brush, and a power washer. I'm half done with about 4 hours of work time. I may have to go back and do it again as the SDC is tough to remove. BTW: Xylene burns pretty good when you get it on your skin! Learn from my mistake and don't wear shorts. Plan on throwing away whatever… Read more »
I have a 2 year old stamped, colored patio and used a sealant last year that looked great until it started to get heated from the sun then white spots showed up from the deeper crevices. I power washed the whole patio and used Dawn detergent to wash cement and rinsed well as concrete company advised. It has dried for 2 days now at 50-60 degree temperatures. It is now totally DULL and the brown color seems to appear lighter. What product would you recommend to bring back the gloss and color? Thank you for answering.
You can try to use the Super Seal 30, but your prep did not remove the previous coating. The issue is your spots may return unless you chemically strip off the old coating.
How do you strip off the old coating? I was told xylene. Please advise.
Xylene is not a stripper and will not work. Use a stripper designed to remove acrylic based paver sealers. Clemons Coatings makes one that we use.
can you add the anti skid powder or flakes to the product?
Super Grip or Shark Grip should work.
can super seal 30 be used on stamped concrete that was sealed with a matte finish. Patio was poured last spring. I don't know what product was used. Thanks for any info.
If the previous sealer was solvent based and has not discolored, it should be okay. Without knowing what the previous sealer was, it is hard to be 100% certain.
I need 15. Gal. Of sealer supper seal how much ? How do l get it ship to or pick up ?please send e mail.
Frank,
You can also search \”Super Seal 30\” on Google do find cost and where to buy.
could I put this on my old 1959 pinkish red faded brick home, best way to apply it. Thanks
Not sure if it will dry evenly on the vertical brick. You may need multiple coats. I would ask manufacturer.
We just created a stacked stone wall with a chiseled front face "Ashland series" (from Lowes). Looks beautiful when I hose it down but very dull when it dries. Will this product work for us?
Never tried it on this exact surface type, but it should work.
How long can this saved once it has been opened?
About a year.
Can this product be used on concrete countertops? I am hoping to use a sealer/polish that will darken my countertops and provide a wet look. This seems best suited for the job as long as it is not too toxic. If this would not work, can you recommend a product that will darken and that is food safe? Thank you for any help! This is a great site
This is not a polish. You can try a sealer first then use a polish over the sealer. I am not sure it will work. Might want to contact the manufacturer at Clemons Concrete Coatings.
Hi! Will this work for Flagstone?
No it does not. It is for concrete type surfaces.
Will this wok for Versalok pavers?
The patio was installed Nov/Dec 2015. The patio has never been sealed. There is partial direct sunlight on the patio. And we are in Ohio.
If not this sealer, which which one would you recommend? Thanks
Yes it should work well for Versalok as the are concrete pavers.
Thank you. And you have an excellent website. Very informative.
Can use this product on a Bluestone patio?
Natural stone does not seal evenly with a wet look sealer so we would not suggest it.
The best I'm a paver and I highly recommend this sealer
Washed aggregate driveway looks great and last for years
Will this product work on quarry slate? We just installed it in a three season room on the floor.
I do not think it will but you may want to contact the manufacturer to make sure.
Used super seal 30 on a new pool deck 8 years ago, put on one coat. Looked great, wet look but not really slippery. Next year applied a second coat, thought it might be a good idea! Did add a brown tint which looked great. Now still looks good, great sealer. Probably need to put another coat on.
Do not over apply
Hi john, did you use the sealer with the brown tint already mixed or did you buy tint and mix it in the clear Super seal 30?
Hi just had a new patio poured with concrete. They broomed brushed it and I decided to stay off of it for 72 hours. Will this work to seal it ? it will get a lot of rain on it since a lot comes off roof . I also wanted to know if I did this to seal it ( I am in Boston MA) so the weather is unreal. Freezing rain, snow, then 50 degrees , then icestorm then snow…lol. Thanks but I may want to stain this next year would sealing it make staining it difficult.
You cannot stain over a sealer. Best to leave unsealed until next year.
Thank you now another question if I wanted to stain it a color what's the best to use ? And if I stain it would I seal it? And what 2 products would you reccommend / great site and really helpful
Are you sure they did not seal wit when installed with a cure and seal? You have to be 100% postive. Look at the Super Color by Clemons concrete.
Can you use superseal30 on a poured, colored patio?
Is it stained or plain? Maybe a sample to test.
I am in the process of completing a patio with old Chicago brick. The brick is a clay based product, used in buildings over the last century. Looking for a premium sealer. the write-up for this product looks very promising. I would like a good sealer as some of the bricks are chipped from being removed. In reading the comments I noticed that there was a recommendation to not use SuperSeal30 on clay tile flooring. What is your recommendation for the brick?
You cannot use this for clay bricks. Sealers like the SuperSeal30 will not dry uniformly on this. It will look blotchy.
It is made more for normal concrete bricks or pavers. You could test though to see it it dries evenly.
I'm looking for the best wet look sealer for porous clay tile flooring. I'm In Honduras and our local clay tile is beautiful, but I'm having a heck of a time finding which sealer to use! I want a hard, wet look. Help?!
This product does not work on clay tile. Not sure what will and give a rich wet look on clay tiles.
Good evening… I wanted to take a moment to thank you for the exceptional website and for providing one of the best and most comprehensive set of reviews on (sealer) products in the marketplace. I live in FL, and this is getting to be a very popular option that many resources provide as an option for homeowners. We had a 950 sq/ft driveway, which had never been sealed in the past, and was installed in 2004. So yes…dirty, sun faded and a bit neglected. After a massive powerwash, re-leveling of some of the shifted and sunk-in pavers, re-sanding and then… Read more »
Thanks for your review! Glad it worked for you as well.
I want to use this product on my stamped concrete patio. When the finished surface gets wet is it slick under foot or is there some sort of non-skid additive in it to minimize that possibility?
It does not come with it but you can add Super Grip to it. Made by same company.
Can I put the super sealer 30 on a mcnear belgian cobble paver? I live here in Santa Clara, Ca.
Thanks!
I do not believe SS30 is allowed in Cali due to your VOC laws. I would contact the manufacturer of the SS30 for some guidance.
Thanks, reason is I tried 2 products already (2 in 1 NANOPAVE sealer and black diamond wet look sealer) to get that "wet look" appearance but still it didn't work. The former only lasted 6 months and now the BD sealer seems like it sealed it but with no apparent gloss to it. I appreciate any help. Thank you !
Look at the Super Seal VOC for Cali as it is allowed there.
Thanks ! So can I just apply the super seal VOC right away? I applied the BD which is a water based sealant 1 week ago.
Probably but might want to ask the manufacturer of the SS VOC.
It worked out fine! Superb product! the SS 30 worked on the MCNEAR PAVERS ! I can post pics if possible. I was able to apply the SS30 on top of the water base sealant with no problem at all. Just waiting for the 72 hour period before I can park on the driveway.
Great! Glad it worked for you!
hi there I just built a backyard paver area with a free standing wall surrounding it and debating on which type of Sealant brand to use looking for the wet and semi gloss look can you help me out on that please thank you
Look at the Super Seal 30 or the Super Seal 25 for this.
by the way I just want to clarify that the Black diamond sealer I was talking was from amazon ( http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0044FZ4XK/ref=o… ) because I found a thread regarding a more expensive type which is the BLACK DIAMOND COATINGS.
Since its not a high end water base sealer, can I apply the SUPER SEALER VOC on top of it? Thank you.
In addition, I applied the BLACK DIAMOND sealer 9/20/14 and half of it seems like its fading already due to high traffic.
I put down super sealer 30 on a tues. let dry for 48 hrs. and it all had a consistent nice shine. i left town on sat morning. before I left town I turned on sprinkler system, when I came home a week later it looks like some areas where water hits the driveway it has become dull and lost the shine. whats the best way to fix these spots and did the sprinkler water cause this .
It dull on top that wipes off with a rag or is it white from underneath in color?
doesn't wipe off, I got ahold of a lady at the manufacturer, she said use zylene to allow the moisture in those spots to leave and this would fix it
I put on Super Clear Diamond on my lower colored patio and ran out half way through. Looking to order more I found these reviews. Would I be able to put Super Seal 30 on the other half or would it be very apparent ? What would happen if I put super Seal 30 over Clear Diamond?
It would be best to stay with the Diamond clear. While the two are compatible, you may get a different shine.
Can this product be used on a radiant heat floor?
I do not think so but best to ask manufacturer.
Can I just reseal it and it will remove the bubble mark's?, where do I buy the solvent?, when my patio was installed we had bubble issues and the installer used a spray to "melt" the bubbles away
You can find xylene at any paint store. Adding more sealer is not the answer.
Sealed my Stamped concrete patio tuesday night, dried nice by morning, looked great…until next day when it was sunny for a1/2 the day and it had thousands of bubbles, now there all popped but looks horrible with all the white spot's
Chris, please read this about bubbles: http://www.concretesealerreview.com/how-to-fix-co…
how does it perform/hold-up on Arkansas stone? Have around pool/porch….thanks
dee, sorry but not familiar with Arkansas stone. I would contact manufacturer for help.
I have a colored stamped concrete pool deck. Last year I used Behr “Wet-look sealer” for concrete. I mixed some non-skid grit (also Behr product) to each gallon of sealer. Rolled two coats and followed their directions. Looked good for about 3-4 months and then noticed it was loosing it’s gloss. Soon I begin noticing white spots throughout the entire deck. Looking closely at these spots, it’s the sealer popping open like a pimple. I’ve contacted Behr and they recommend brushing these white spots and re-coating with the same product. They have offered to provide me with free product. I’m… Read more »
Rick, I would not add more of the Behr as it will just make it worse. You need to strip it all off and start over. Not an easy thing to do but can be done. We use a Concrete Sealer Stripper made by Clemons. Once it is removed you can use the SS30.
Clay, I would not use it. It dries splotchy on regular concrete.
just applied super seal 30 to my 2year old pavers, so far it looks great good quality sealer, thick and appears long lasting
hi,can I use this on Chicago brick pavers
I believe so. We personally have not tired it though. I would ask the manufacturer.
Is Super Seal 30 a good sealer for exposed aggregate concrete?
Yes you can use it on exposed aggregate.
I bought sealer for my recently poured concrete slab. After applying it I realized I wasn't supposed to apply it to broomed finished concrete. It is now "splotchy". Is there any way to fix this? Can I apply another sealer? Any help you can give me will be greatly appreciated.
Cheryl, might want to get help from a pro as you will need to remove it.
Will super seal get rid of haze from sand?
Janet, no it will not. You need to remove the poly sand haze first before sealing. If you do not it will make it worse.
Ok now for the million dollar question how do i remove the haze?
Janet, an acid of some type or vinegar. I would ask the manufacturer of the sand for help. It happens a lot.
I live in Pittsburgh and after reading the comments on Super Seal 30 I would like to try it on my exposed aggregate patio. Where would I be able to buy it over the counter ? Thanks..
Jim, I am not sure.
