SuperSeal30: High-Gloss Concrete Sealer for Superior Protection
SuperSeal30 is a premium higher-gloss concrete sealer designed for a variety of surfaces, including Brick Paver Patios, Exposed Aggregate, and Stamped Concrete. This popular sealer enhances the natural beauty of your surfaces by darkening their appearance and leaving a polished, shiny finish.
Key Features of SuperSeal30
- High-Gloss Finish: Adds a rich, vibrant shine to concrete surfaces.
- Darkens Surface Appearance: Enhances the color and depth of your concrete for a bold look.
- Solvent-Based Formula: Provides durability and long-lasting protection.
- Breathable Acrylic: Allows moisture to escape, reducing the risk of hazing or peeling.
Whether you’re sealing a patio, driveway, or decorative concrete, SuperSeal30 is an excellent choice for protection and aesthetics.
SuperSeal30 Paver and Concrete Sealer Scores (1-10)
Wet Look: 10
SuperSeal30 contains 30% solid acrylic. It darkened our 4-year-old paver patio as if wet and stayed that way after drying. It enhanced the natural red and brown tones in our paver bricks.
Gloss Level: 8
The high solid content of the SuperSeal gave our paver patio a high-gloss shine. The overall appearance on our test patio was quite rich-looking but not so shiny that it looked “fake.” The sealer was slightly slippery for the first couple of weeks when it rained, but after complete curing, that was not an issue.
Joint Sand Hardening: 8
– SuperSeal30 is very thick in consistency. While it did harden the sand between the pavers, it did not harden, as did some water-based versions. Due to the thickness of the sealer, it did not penetrate as deeply into the sand. The top 1/2 inch of the sand had hardened.
Fading/Wearing After 2 Years: 7
SuperSeal30 gets our best score regarding fading from the sun’s UV. It faded evenly with no wear. About 70% of the gloss and wet look remained at the 2-year mark.
White Haze/Yellowing: 10
– There was no visible white hazing or yellowing of the sealer after 2 years.
My Overall Score SuperSeal30 at 2 Year Period: 8.6
– SuperSeal30 is an excellent sealer for brick pavers and other decorative surfaces. It does what it is supposed to do by adding a rich look to the surface without any side effects. Future maintenance would be easy with light cleaning and re-coat. We like that it is a breathable styrene acrylic. This dramatically reduces any chance of hazing due to trapped moisture.

There is not a better product, and the bubbles are a result of your stamped concrete and the sun. It can happen no matter what, but not always. https://www.concretesealerreview.com/how-to-fix-concrete-sealer-bubbles/
Thanks for the reply as it matches what I have seen, “It can happen no matter what, but not always”.
Super seal 30 says to apply with a roller. My patio is made with Tremron Mega Old Town pavers. What nap should I use for roller application?
1/2 inch will work.
Can it be used in South Florida on ‘standard brick pavers’ ? When you want to re-apply say after two years from the initial application how do you prep the surface?
Yes, you can use this on any concrete brick pavers. Clean by pressure washing and recoat as needed.
How long will this last
2-3 years is the norm.
Where can I buy the product I’m in dc area.?
We do not know. Check online.
I have a eight year old patio with synthetic stone walls and columns. What would be your recommended cleaning process and wet look stain sealer.
SS30 or the Supre Shield SB-600.
I just finished cleaning and Staining my 12 year old patio with a marbling stain from Valspar It is a broom finish. Can I use the SS 30 to get the wet look? And how long should it dry before applying ss30? It has rained here for past 2 days but should be dry for next few days. Someone told me I should have bought the SS25 after I bought the 30
Wait 48 hours after rain to apply. You should be able to use the SS30 for this.
Also how long do I have to wait before I put my rugs and furniture back on my patio?
24 hours.
When do you put the second coat on? Does it have to completely dry or do you put it on within 24 hours
It has to be completely dry and should be done the same day.
How long do I have to wait to put a second coat on ?
1-2 hours after the first coat.
Why am I getting clear bubbles on my patio? I waited 3 hours before I put on the second coat and I did not put iit on thick

We have stained concrete floors in our 20+ year old home that have not been well maintained for the last few years. The sealer has worn away and even color is starting to wear off in a few places in the kitchen. I believe the Super Seal 30 is the original sealant that was used, so I’d planned to re-apply some this weekend. However, my husband is very sensitive to odors and my pregnant daughter is supposed to come for the weekend. I can’t remember–does the Super Seal 30 have a very bad smell? And will it be toxic to… Read more »
Super Seal 30 is a solvent-based sealer and has a very strong order so it is suggested for exterior use as if used indoors, it would linger for a week or longer due to little airflow. We would not use it indoors.
We have colored stamped concrete that has lost some of its original color and we’d like to stain it once we’ve removed all the old sealer. Can SuoerSeal 30 be applied over stained concrete? Does it have to be a specific type of stain? Water or oil based?
You can apply it over stained concrete. Does not matter the type of stain.
Hi. I just read directions for this product. At
It states:
II. When Not to Use:
B. Not recommended on brick.
Brick is like a sponge. If water can gain access to surface other than sealed
surface, sun will pull moisture out of brick and will form a milky appearance
under the sealer. Looks like a thermal pane window where seal has failed and
moisture frosts the glass.
Yet pretty much all ads show using it on pavers?
Please advise.
Thanks,
They are talking about vertical bricks on houses or clay bricks. Everyone using it on concrete pavers with no issues.
Can super seal 30 be applied over old sealer without stripping old sealer first
That would depend on the current condition and if the current sealer has failed or discolored by turning white? Pictures would help.
Can super seal 30 be put over other sealer with out stripping old sealer
Can I put this product on cambridge pavers?
If they are concrete pavers then yes.
ls there any respiratory dangers to applying Super seal without a respirating mask? thanks, tom
Do not thnk so.
i have used SS30 on my colored stamped concrete pool deck and it always looks great but it stays tacky, what do I do to fix it. I want to reseal it agian
You are over-applying if it is tacky. Try not sealing it this time and apply Xylene solvent to the entire area. Make sure it is clean and dry. Apply with a pump sprayer. It will reset the sealer so it looks new.
We applied the sealer to our pool decking approximately 1 month ago. It looked fantastic for the first two weeks but now it is almost as if the color/sealer is washing away. Looks terrible. Love the product but we need help to remedy the eye sore we have created!
We used the super sealer 30. Pool manufacturer placed this same product when pool was built 2.5 years ago
It looks like trapped moisture. Try applying xylene to the entire area. Spray on and let the sealer reset.
What is the shelf life of an opened can of SS30? We bought a 5 gallon can and used less than half. And the product info says only 1 coat needed-is that ok?
I believe 12 months but maybe longer. Do not let it freeze.
DO YOU RECOMMEND 1 OR 2 COATS? I’VE READ MIXED REVIEWS.
Only one coat.
Can i use this on stamped concrete 3 ft from pool deck. Should i use non slip grip additive? Can you recommend best product for solvent based wet look with gloss. Its 1000sqft so price and coverage are a factor. Thank you for this great resource!
Yes, this works very well. Adding a non-slip would help with a pool area,
I have a indoor concrete patio if I use SS30 will it be slippery after it dry.
Typically no.
is it ok to use SS30 over another sealer for concrete pavers
That would depend on if the other sealer has discolored or not? Pictures would help.
is it ok to use SS30 on top of some other sealer over concrete pavers
I see my question was deleted. I asked with all seriousness. I am interested in Wet look 10. I wished I had research before purchasing Beher Wet look. It does not look bad; however, I have very little white spots. Will I be able to apply Wet Look 10 over Beher wet look? Please respond!
We did not delete your question and we replied to it 3 hours ago. Look below.
Can I apply this product over beher wet look sealer? I did one thin application.
Nope.
Sorry, I did not see your response! I think I will strip this off. It’s such a thin layer. Any other special preparations for Wet Look 20?
I meant 10.
Sorry but no idea what “wet look 10” is.
How long do I need t apply before potential rain? Temp in the 60 degree range.
4-8 hours.
Can I apply this directly over diamond clear
As long as the DC has not failed or turned white, then yes.
What is the shelf life of this product?
12 months if opened. More if not.
The can has not been opened and is dated 2015. Will it be ok to use?
The can is dated 2015 and has not been opened. Since it is 5 years old I’m wondering if it ok to use?
It should be as long as it has not frozen.
Will this work over an Epoxy Coating as a sealer?
No, it is not designed for that. Best to use a clear coat epoxy.
We live in Venice, FL. This product was applied to our driveway & lanai in September 2019. Within months, a white film appeared on several of the pavers. The brown coping around our pool is all spotted with a white film and looks horrible!
Now we must pay thousands of dollars to have everything stripped and re sealed with a water based product.
Extremely Disappointed!
The SS20 does not turn white as there is nothing in the product that can create white spots. Something else would cause this to happen. It could be efflorescence salt, poly sand haze, a previous sealer of a different brand was applied prior, etc.
Basically you have another issue that is causing this to occur (not the Super Seal) and you should figure that out as it would have happened no matter what sealer you used and will occur again if not addressed.
When you talk of brick pavers will that also apply to chimney bricks? I have cracked bricks in my chimney and want to seal them instead of tuckpointing.
No, brick pavers and chimney bricks are completely different and require different sealers. In your case, you would want a sealer called Masonry Saver Vertical Brick Sealer.
Can this be applied over a knockdown textured concrete patio with an water-based stain like H&C Colortop or an acrylic topcoat?
It can be applied over a concrete stain.
After power washing pavers how long should I wait to seal it Will it discolor if it’s damp
You cannot seal pavers when damp or wet. Wait 24-48 hours.
can i apply this on quarry tile
No, it not designed for tile.
Can I apply this directly over Super Diamond Clear or does it need stripped?
That would depend on the current condition of the Diamond Clear and if turned white? Pictures would help.
Where do I purchase The super sealer 30 for my brick paver driveway, I live in Jensen beach Florida.
Check online or with the manufacturer.
Where can I purchase Superseal sealent
Check online.
Can super seal 30 concrete sealer be bought in Ontario Canada
It is not compliant for Canada.
What is the shelf life of SS 30? I bought 4 extra gallons. Can I keep them in my basement and use them in 2 years when I put another coat on?
Yes, that should work.
Does super seal 30 come in a brown color and glossy
Yes, it does.
Can it be used on travertine
Yes, I believe so.
Several years ago I applied HGX from SRW. It is a breathable, solvent based, high gloss sealer. Their directions said before recoating in the future to roll on a coat of xylene to soften the sealer followed by a new coat of the HGX.
I was not happy with the performance of the HGX and plan to use SuperSeal 30 this time. What is your recommendation on using the xylene in advance of applying the SuperSeal 30?
Also do you foresee any issues applying the SuperSeal 30 on top of the HGX?
Please post a picture of the current condition.
The HGX was applied in 2015. The 1st is a picture of the patio, the 2nd had a strip of xylene applied about a week ago. It brought back the color enhancement and I could tell the old sealer was still there as it became tacky. The 3rd picture shows what it looked like shortly after it was applied in 2015. Here were their exact instructions for reapplying: Recoat 1. Clean the pavers using a pressure washer 2. Let dry 24 hours 3. Roll on a coat of xylene. The mechanical action of rolling is necessary to soften the existing… Read more »
You can do this and it should not have any issues with the SS30 over this coating. Let the xylene dry for an hour or so before applying the SS30.
Does this product work well in a garage? The conctete is new and has nothing on it.
It is not designed for plain poured concrete but a decorative concrete surface.
BUT IT CAN BE USED ON GARAGE FLOOR CANT IT I WAS TOLD IT COULD
Even though I power washed my patio with high pressure, and feel that I removed the water based layer, and much of the previous solvent based layers, should I still strip it? Is there a way to tell if it is off?
You should be fine.
Will the SS30 do sown in the cuts in the in the concrete okay?
I meant go down in the cuts in the concrete?
It should.
This is a product, that a local business here in Vermont said that they have good luck with as well. Any comments on either product? Thanks again
Never heard of it.
Have you ever had any experience with Chemmasters stamped and decorative concrete sealer 400A. I used this about 4 years afo
That would be my first choice, but I have to say it scares me a little when it says that it is very thick in consistency. Seems like it might be hard to work with? Does it get down into the crevices well? What would the thickness compare too?
Too thick to spray but rolls on very easy.
Is it breathable like the SuperSeal30 30? I also would consider some shine or gloss. If so, what would you suggest?
Yes, it breathable. If you want some gloss, then use the SS30.
Here is another pic from the fire pit area! Thanks
Look at this product: https://www.concretesealerreview.com/supreme-shield-sb-600-wet-look-review/
Can you recommend best product to use on exterior stone veneer? Wanting a wet look/color enhancer but not fake plastic finish look. SS30 & SB600 seem very similar. Thanks for your advice.
Use SB-600 for this as it does not have a gloss but a wet look.
Hi, we put in our stamped concrete patio in 09. Since then I have sealed it with solvent based sealers such as super diamond clear and a similar product from chemmasters called stamped and decorative concrete sealer 400A. A couple of years ago I decided to try a water based sealer by H&C. It had the same look, I never had any whitening, but I noticed some flaking in some spots. A few days ago, i powerwashed the entire patio with high pressure, and I believe that I removed the layer of the water based product and maybe some of… Read more »
Have been using Super Seal 30 (both clear and brown) for many driveways this summer. Had a driveway done in clear that when finished looked great – nice uniform coating. About 4-6 weeks later, there were areas that almost looked like roller marks (although half the width of the 18″ rollers that were used) where it appeared chalky or hazy. Pressure washing of the aggregate drive was done and the area was sun dried for 1-2 days before applying. The drive was dry before rain came a day later, but again the hazy look did not appear for 4-6 after… Read more »
Sounds like it is something under the sealer causing this. Do you have a picture?
